Flightradar24 doesn’t show routes for all flights because route information isn’t directly transmitted by the aircraft. Instead, we receive the flight’s call sign and match it with airline schedules in our databases to determine the route.

Routes may be missing for several reasons:

  1. Schedule Gaps: If an airline hasn’t submitted a flight schedule, or if our system can’t match a call sign due to issues like a delayed flight or an irregular call sign, route data may be unavailable.

  2. Special Flights: Delivery, positioning, and charter flights often lack route data in our databases, so these flights may not display routes.

We’re constantly working to expand our route information, but for some flights, reliable data may still be unavailable.
