It's possible to view Global Playback and Single-flight Playback on the Flightradar24 website. After releasing our new website version the playback features are better and work smoother now.

To access the Global Playback feature, click on the Playback button at the bottom of your screen. Then select the date and time you're interested in and proceed by clicking the Start playback button. See our screenshot below for more information.

When the playback has started, you'll see many options to interact with. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see the Playback timeline. You can scroll it to the right or left to adjust the playback time. You can adjust the length of time visible by using the functionality on the right. Zoom in to show less time, zoom out to show more time. You can also adjust the speed in playback from 1x up to 300x speed. Just use the speed swiper on the right. See more details in the screenshot below.

You can also apply Settings, Filters, and Widgets to playback. You can do that from the very bottom of the screen. Just below the Playback timeline.

From Settings you can change the map style, apply ATC boundaries and aeronautical charts, disable or enable data sources, change unit preferences among other things.

You can also enable filters when interacting with a Global Playback. To do so just click the Filters button at the bottom of the screen and add any filters you're interested in from the Custom tab or choose from our pre-made filters (Category tab) which have been added with the new website version. We’ve made huge improvements to Filters and you can also enjoy the new changes when using the Playback feature.

And by clicking the Widgets button, you can turn on or off widgets that you might find useful while using the playback feature.

Another thing that you can do while using the Global Playback is switch between views (Map and List). See our screenshot below for more information.

There are many more things that you can do with our Global Playback feature but the main ones are covered in this FAQ article. Feel free to explore all the possibilities and enjoy the new improved version.

It's also possible to check Single-flight Playback and you can access it from the flight history page (search for the flight directly, or find the flight on the map or in the airport arrival/departure boards and click the Playback button.
