General
If your receiver does not power on, the power supply is one of the first things to check. In many cases, the issue is not the receiver itself but the power adapter.
A power adapter may provide the correct voltage but still be unable to supply enough current (amps) for the receiver to operate reliably. This can prevent the receiver from starting or cause it to restart unexpectedly.
What to check
- Verify that you're using the recommended power adapter supplied with the receiver, or one that meets the required specifications.
- Check that the power cable is securely connected at both ends.
- Inspect the power cable and connector for any visible damage.
- If you're using a USB power adapter, avoid low-quality chargers or USB ports on TVs, monitors, or other devices, as they may not provide sufficient power.
Test with another power supply
If possible, connect the receiver to a different power adapter that meets the required voltage and current specifications.
Not sure which power adapter to use?
➡️ See our Power adapter specifications article for the recommended voltage, current, and connector type for your receiver model. Click here to open the article.
If the receiver powers on with the replacement adapter, the original power supply is likely faulty or unable to deliver enough current.
Still not powering on?
If you've tested another compatible power supply and the receiver still shows no signs of life, please contact Flightradar24 Support and include:
- The type of power adapter you're using (including its voltage and current rating, if available).
- A description of the receiver's behavior (for example, no LEDs, flashing LEDs, or display not turning on).
This information will help us troubleshoot the issue more quickly.
