AR View (Augmented Reality) helps you identify aircraft by pointing your phone at the sky. It overlays live flight information on your camera view, making it easy to see which aircraft you're looking at in real time.
How to open AR View
- Open the Flightradar24 app.
- Tap the AR button in the top left corner.
- When prompted, allow the app to access your device's camera and location.
- Point your phone toward the sky. Nearby aircraft will appear with labels showing information such as the flight number, aircraft type, altitude, and destination.
Tips for the best experience
- Use AR View outdoors where you have a clear view of the sky.
- Make sure Location Services are enabled and that Flightradar24 has permission to access your location.
- Hold your phone upright and slowly scan the horizon to detect aircraft.
- If aircraft labels don't appear in the correct position, move your phone in a figure-eight motion to help calibrate your device's compass.
